Sindh Minister for Information & Archives and Labor Saeed Ghani has said that under the Public Private Partnership, work on improving tourism centers in Sindh was underway.
The provincial minister for information strongly rejected the impression that the government was slow in promoting tourism in the province, but said that due to the lack of resources, we were experiencing a slight delay. He said this while talking to reporters after inaugurating the 3rd Pakistan Travel Mart Exhibition 2019 at Expo Center Karachi on Tuesday. Saeed Ghani said that whenever a government wanted to develop a particular area as a tourist point, it needed a lot of resources.
The Sindh government while consuming whatever resources it had was striving to develop Haleji and other such areas as tourist centers, the provincial Information minister said.
He said that the Sindh government would also be meeting with the experts from private sector in this regard to take suggestions from them on how to promote tourism in the province.
Appreciating the efforts towards organizing the 3rd Pakistan Travel Mart Expo, Saeed Ghani said that such initiatives would promote the tourism and travel industry in the country. The provincial minister for Information said that it was also an opportunity for tourists from all over the world to come to Pakistan to seek useful information about tourism and travel industry in Pakistan.
Responding a question, Saeed Ghani said that crackdown against political leadership had been in place since the first day of this government, and if the government was planning to make more arrests, we were ready. False and baseless cases were being filed because of political hatred against opposition politicians, provincial minister added.
He made it clear that the Sindh government would never create hindrance for people participating in peaceful protest.
Saeed Ghani while criticizing the leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf said that they always justified their protest, but whenever the opposition parties called for peaceful protest, which was their legitimate right too, they started making noise. The provincial minister said that even though the incumbent government had been doing crackdown for over a year now, but it had failed to suppress the opposition’s voice.
