PU awards PhD degrees to 5 scholars

Punjab University on Monday awarded PhD degrees to five scholars in different subjects after approve of their thesis.

The scholars included Saher Mahmood D/o Mian Mahmood Alam Shad who was awarded PhD degree in the subject of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics after approval of her thesis entitled ‘Spatio-Temporal Diversity of Phyllospheric Bacteria of Helianthus Annuus’, Shagufta Khurshid D/o Khurshid Alam in the subject of Urdu after approval of her thesis entitled ‘Conflict of Eastern and Western Civilization in Published Urdu Drama (After the Establishment of Pakistan)’, Atiq Ur Rehman S/o Muhammad Saeed Arif Siddiqui in the subject of Islamic Studies after approval of his thesis entitled ‘A Critical Study of Alexander Ross’s Translation in the Light of Modern Trends in English Translation of the Holy Qur’an’, Saeed Ullah S/o Inayat Ullah in the subject of Education after approval of his thesis entitled ‘Developing Mathematical Reasoning Among Secondary School through Metacognition: An Experimental Study’ and Javed Iqbal S/o Liaqat Ali was awarded PhD degree in the subject of Political Science after approval of his thesis entitled ‘Socio-Economic Status of Pakistan: Issues of Governance and Human Development Under Internal Security Challenges (2001-2013)’.
