Pakistan Textile Journal, a leading source of textile industry news, hosted an informative presentation and awareness event in Karachi. The primary aim of the event was to highlight the upcoming ITMA Asia + CITME exhibition, scheduled to be held in Shanghai from October 14-18, 2024. This significant event, a collaboration between CEMATEX, CTMA, CCPIT TEX, and CIEC, will showcase the latest advancements in global textile machinery and technology at the NECC Exhibition Center.
The awareness event, broadcast live on YouTube channel, was attended by over 125 guests, including representatives from leading textile mills, chambers of commerce, industry experts, and media personalities. Notable guests of honour included K.M. Khalid, General Secretary of TEXMAP; Aarij Iqbal, President of the Italian Development Committee; and Ms. Sophia Al Khawar. Gu Ping, President of the China Textile Machinery Association and Chairman of Beijing Textile Machinery International Exhibition Co. Ltd., delivered a warm welcome address. He emphasized the significance of ITMA Asia + CITME as a crucial global textile exhibition and invited industry professionals to participate in the Shanghai event.
Mr. Gu Ping highlighted the strong ties between China and Pakistan as leading textile exporters and expressed his hopes for deeper cooperation and mutual benefits. Joining the event via video, Alex Zucchi, President of CEMATEX, shared key insights into why ITMA Asia + CITME is the most important textile exhibition in Asia.
