Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minster on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Thursday said that fathers of Sindhi prince and self-proclaimed princess are the architects and promoters of using big money in politics as both made bids to take over the politics in the decades of 80s and 90s.
“This corrupt duo is, again, active for horse-trading in the upcoming Senate election as the father of Sindhi prince, popularly known as Mr. 10 per cent, is also very expert in exchanging briefcases,” she claimed.
The SACM said that corruption runs in the blood of the fake princess and the Sindhi prince, saying that corruption stories of Sharif brothers and Mr. 10 per cent are the worst part of the political history of Pakistan.
“Regrettably, the political scions who accidentally entered the political arena have inherited corruption only,” the SACM deplored. She emphasised that the corrupt gang may move from pillar to post but looted money will be eked out from them and they have to be accountable for their misdeeds. The PTI will go to every extent to curb the menace of the use of money in politics, concluded the SACM.
Meanwhile, SACM Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the arrival of international cricket teams in Pakistan has allayed security concerns, adding that it will help promote cricket and other sports.
The SACM expressed these views during her visit to Gaddafi Stadium Lahore to witness the first T-20 match between Pakistan and South Africa. On the occasion, Dr Firdous welcomed South African team to Lahore and congratulated the people of Punjab on the revival of cricket in Pakistan. She said the presence of South African team in Pakistan has proved that Pakistan is a secure and peaceful country. It is commendable that South African team came to Pakistan to play a match during the corona pandemic, she said. The SAM said that all the players of cricket are ambassadors of peace for the entire world, adding that the peace message that players convey while standing in the field has no alternative. It is a great achievement of the incumbent government to hold an international match in Lahore despite corona and by doing this we have succeeded in projecting the soft image of Pakistan all over the world, she said.
As a sports person, I have always encouraged cricket and other sports in Pakistan, she said. Dr Firdous said that cricket has always played a pivotal role in enhancing Pakistan’s international image and the presence of international teams in Pakistan will help promote sports culture.
Firdous Ashiq Awan said that Pakistan has played well to clean wash the South African team in the recent series of test matches and it is hoped that it will win the T20 series against South Africa as well.
The SACM said that Pakistan has always performed well in international sports and maintained its lead in some sports for years. She praised Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and the security personnel for the security and other arrangements for holding matches.
The SACM said that senators elected on PML-N tickets are also expressing distrust in the leadership of the fake princess and this could well explain her political worth. On the other side, the sane elements in PML-N are perturbed over the political excesses of the so-called scion.
She said the former rulers deliberately brought the agriculture sector to the brink of destruction however, Insha Allah under the leadership of Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, Punjab will regain its status of being the food basket of the whole country in terms of increase in agricultural production and the growers will also earn the due reward of their hard work.
