PTI still the most popular party: Khattak

Federal Defence minister and provincial president of PTI Pervez Khattak has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is still the most popular party in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the largest party in the county.

Addressing Workers convention of workers convention of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leadership, at Royal Palace Hall here on Thursday, he said the party will be soon even stronger than before in the province.

However the convention turned into “Fish market” when some local journalists over some issue protested against Pervez Khattak during his speech.

Journalists boycotted the function while chanted slogans against Pervez Khattak saying Go Khattak go.

Earlier number of workers including former Tehsil Nazim Ishaque Zikraya also protested at stage against the attitude of party workers.

Pervez Khattak stated that tickets would be distributed among candidates on merit basis and only eligible candidates will be selected through party elections.

The Minister said PTI will not repeat the mistakes made in the first phase of local government elections.
