LAHORE – Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) turned silent after observing pace and vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

“Maryam Nawaz and her team will work to the extent that the PTI’s name will vanish after 5 years. Taking credit for others’ achievements is PTI’s trademark,” said Azma Bukhari while addressing a press conference in Lahore on Thursday.

The minister said that the PTI even defeated devil in lying. PTI has sworn to avoid truth and honesty.

Azma said that the time for deceiving the public with lies passed, adding that no hospitals were built during their era, ad nor did they establish any schools; they only minted money.

“For the first time in the country’s history, a woman has become the Chief Minister. Regarding women, the Punjab Chief Minister is very sensitive,” said Minister Azma.

Punjab CM Maryam, she said, proposed introducing an app for women’s safety named “Never Again,” which would be monitored by the Punjab Chief Minister herself.

She stated that the measures for protection of women would be taken.

Minister Azma also said that the chief minister had said that the cities should be cleaned within a month. The number of dumping sites in Lahore is increasing. Punjab’s Chief Minister sought a waste management plan for small cities.

“The first meeting was about inflation,” she added.
