RAWALPINDI – All government schools, colleges and other institutions will remain closed on Wednesday in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi on November 27 Wednesday in the wake of deteriorating law and or situation.

An official notification issued by Deputy Commissioner Hassan Waqar Cheema said In light of ongoing political party protests and the tense security situation, all schools in Rawalpindi will remain closed on Wednesday, November 27.

The closure comes as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of citizens and to prevent any disruptions that may arise from the ongoing protests. DC confirmed that the decision was made in consultation with the District Intelligence Committee, following concerns about maintaining law and order in the city.

He also highlighted that additional security arrangements are being put in place across the city to maintain peace and prevent any untoward incidents.

Authorities have urged parents and residents to stay informed and follow government instructions to avoid any emergencies.

Authorities in Islamabad closed all markets due to escalating protests by PTI supporters demanding Imran Khan’s release, resulting in couple of deaths while hundreds are injuries.

Internet disruptions affected several cities, including Karachi, and WhatsApp services have been restricted. Security forces regained control of the Red Zone after clashes with protesters, who were met with live fire and tear gas.

Experts warn protests could harm Pakistan’s fragile economy, while PTI claims another death at the hands of security forces. Tensions remain high, with further confrontations expected around D-Chowk, and talks for resolution have stalled.
