Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz on Sunday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) took a case regarding identifiable vote in Senate elections to Supreme Court (SC).
In a post on social-networking website Twitter, the minister claimed that horse trading affects proportional representation of political parties in the polls.
PTI won in Punjab’s Senate elections. We didn’t allow horse trading or violate proportional representation, he added.
Earlier, Shahbaz Gill said being the biggest culprit was the eligibility criteria of Pakistan Democratic Movement’s (PDM) joint candidate.
While reacting to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) President Fazal-ur-Rehman’s statement, Shahbaz Gill said it is the JUI-F chief, not people, who has been in trouble for two and a half years. Maulana is facing humiliation for three decades outside power, he said.—INP
