Directs admin and Wasa for comprehensive measures for early drainage of rainwater

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Friday declared that PTI is the most popular political party in the country and the government is fully focused on fulfilling the promises made with the people.

“Party workers are an asset to the party and their genuine problems will be resolved on priority basis.”

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar was talking to PTI’s Chief Organiser Saifullah Khan Niazi who called on the CM at his office to discuss matters of mutual interest.

Talking on the occasion, the chief minister pointed out that PTI’s political narrative is based on the golden principles of transparency, merit, social justice and the rule of law, adding that the outmoded system has wreaked havoc with the institutions and the government is striving hard to rectify the stale system.

“The opposition parties have been disorganised because they don’t have any other agenda except to protect their ill-gotten money. In fact, their politics is all but over,” he continued. The chief minister claimed that the PTI has put the country in the right direction under PM Imran Khan.

On the occasion, Saifullah Khan Niazi stated that the opposition’s negative narrative has failed as people have full trust in the PTI leadership, adding that every district will equally prosper through the district development package.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar directed for early drainage of rainwater from low-lying areas and asked the Wasa and administration to utilize every resource for early completion of rainwater drainage. “

No leniency will be tolerated and the Wasa and administration should remain available in the field round the clock.”

While issuing directions to the Lahore commissioner and the Wasa chairman, the CM directed to ensure implementation of the devised plan for water disposal.

“I will not tolerate any negligence,” he declared, added that citizens should not face any difficulty and smooth flow of traffic should also be ensured. The Wasa, administration and traffic police should be available in the field to supervise the operation.

Reports about water drainage operation must be sent to CM’s Office with timelines and administration should proactively perform to facilitate the citizenry, concluded the CM.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar sought a report from Faisalabad RPO about rape-cum-murder of a girl child in Chiniot and directed to arrest the culprit within 48 hours. He also assured the bereaved family of the provision of justice.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar sought a report from CCPO Lahore about the murder of an innocent child in the Badami Bagh area and directed that criminals be arrested at the earliest and no effort should be spared to provide justice to the bereaved heirs.

The Chief Minister also sought a report from RPO Multan about kidnap-cum-murder of a seven-year-old girl in Shah Shams area of the City and directed for early arrest of the accused.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar expressed a deep sense of sorrow over the death of three children due to the falling of roof of a house in Kanha area of Lahore and extended sympathies to bereaved heirs. He also sought a report from the administration.
