Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Nusrat Wahid on Monday said that heaps of garbage and trash being not lifted by the relevant civic agencies would cause spread of infectious and bacterial diseases among citizens of the megalopolis.
In a statement issued here, she said that situation in Karachi was worst as there were huge heaps of garbage, damaged main roads, streets full of sewerage water and other issues.
. The incidents of dog biting were also increasing. She said that citizens were also suffering from anxiety because of the conflict betwwn Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar.
The Chief Minister held the Mayor responsible for all the mess, while the Mayor from his first day was claiming shortage of funds and no authority.

“It is pity to say that the funds provided for the cleanliness of the city have been swallowed with the assistance of and in connivance with contractors and mafias,” said the MNA.
