ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians’ (PPPP) President Asif Ali Zardari claimed that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf now ended; PTI would now be just a “side show,”.
Zardari said that the PML-N and the PPP would begin again as the major parties, and there would be competition between them.
He expressed these words while giving an interview to a local private TV.
The PPPP president said that the PTI was neither a movement and nor a philosophy but a drama of misconduct.
Zardari also said that PPP had always been targeted in Punjab and would remain so.
“There is so much deprivation in Punjab that friends are not even seen; when Sindh is with us, we increase the prices of agricultural commodities, which benefits Punjab too,” he said.
He stated that there is no long journey for PPP in Punjab; PPP is present everywhere in Punjab.
“The intention is to sit in Punjab now; without independent candidates, good results will be given in elections in Punjab,” he claimed, adding that as for criticism of Bilawal Bhutto’s criticism of Nawaz League, Asif Zardari responded that criticizing each other in elections is permissible, not illegal.
“If Bilawal is attracting anti-Nawaz votes, in my opinion, there are only anti-Nawaz votes in Punjab,” said Zardari.
He said the people were sent to PTI and those who left the PTI wanted to return to PPP; they would come back after the election.
“ It would be surprising if Latif Khosa wins the election; everyone can be surprised in the election,” he further said.
Asif Zardari said that the PML-N is responsible for 16 months, because the Prime Minister was theirs.
“I made him Prime Minister because tools are needed for the era. Everyone used to say that he is a hard worker, but they are poor of the line,” he further said.
He said that PPP intended to get a good number in the election; they could also form a government.
“Becoming Prime Minister or President depends on the number game,” said Zardari.
He said that it was said that the PPP had the most part in the no-confidence movement; the no-confidence movement was their idea.
