ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan on Monday said that former prime minister Imran Khan was taken to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) late Sunday night for medical treatment and was later shifted back to Adiala Jail.
Taking to X, previously known as Twitter, the PTI chairman Gohar Khan said he had been informed that Imran Khan was taken to PIMS for an injection and medical examination before being returned to the prison.
“I have just been informed that Khan Sahib was taken last night to PIMS once again for an injection and then shifted back to Adiala. We strongly reiterate our demand of shifting him to hospital for treatment. We demand meeting with family immediately,” Barrister Gohar wrote.
He reiterated the party’s demand that Imran Khan be transferred to a hospital for proper medical treatment and called for immediate permission for his family members to meet him.
The PTI leader’s statement came amid the party’s continued concerns over the health and medical care of the former premier, who is currently incarcerated at Adiala Jail.
There was no immediate response from prison authorities or the government regarding the reported hospital visit and the PTI’s demands.
