Pti Chairman Barrister Gohar Warns Against Politicians Fighting With Institutions

ISLAMABAD – Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Barrister Gohar Ali Khan stressed that there should be no confrontation between political leaders and state institutions, pushing for dialogue as only way to improve the current tense situation.

Barrister Gohar attempted to visit PTI Chairman Imran Khan at Adiala Jail, but was stopped by police on the way. Speaking to the media in the presence of PTI workers, he said, “We have come under court orders to hold meetings with Imran Khan, as the courts have granted permission for his family and lawyers to meet him, yet we are being prevented from doing so.”

He added, “If these meetings take place, the situation can improve.” Without naming any specific institution, he urged that allowing meetings with Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, could help reduce tensions.

Highlighting the growing political strain, Barrister Gohar said, “The country cannot bear any more tension. Politics should not be about enmity, and people should refrain from using abusive language against one another.”

He warned against those who “do not want democracy to function” and seek to pit political leaders against major institutions, stating, “Such conflicts should not happen under any circumstances.”
