Islamabad United will look to usurp Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8 table when they take on Quetta Gladiators tonight.

United, currently third in the league table, will romp past the Sultans with a win and strengthen their bid to finish the top two to avoid playing in an eliminator straightaway.

Quetta, meanwhile, will look to salvage some pride with only their second win in the competition.

Here is all you need to know ahead of their clash.

Islamabad United vs Quetta Gladiators PSL head-to-head:

The two sides have beaten each other eight times but United have the recent momentum on their side, winning 4 of the last 5 games.

When and Where will the match take place?

Pindi Cricket Stadium will host the contest at 7:00 PM (PKT).

Players to watch:

United boasts one of the strongest batting lineups of PSL 8 and they will look to them to get the better of the less-than-stellar Gladiators’ bowling contingent.

Alex Hales, Azam Khan and Asif Ali will get United quick runs while Shadab Khan and Faheem Ashraf remain crucial in bowling all-rounders roles.

Gladiators, meanwhile, look fragile in both departments but have some game changers in Martin Guptill, Will Smeed and Naseem Shah.

Form:

Quetta is on a four-game losing streak while United has won three of their last 5 matches.

Quetta’s only win this season has come against the Kings while United has looked decent enough to make a strong playoff push.

United absolutely hammered the Gladiators the last time these two sides met on February 24th 2023 and that looks set to continue tonight as well.
