The Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz Friday said that provision of better health facilities to each and every citizen of Punjab was one of the big duties of the provincial government and it was sincerely trying to improve the conditions in that connection. He said that during his surprise visit to Government Sardar Begum Memorial Teaching Hospital here. The Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, MNA Syeda Naushin, Punjab MPA Muhammad Manshaulah Butt and others were also present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz said there was ample room for the further improvement of the health sector and despite limited resources the provincial government was fully bent to further facilitate the public.
The Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz inspected a few wards of the hospital, including Children Ward during which he enquired from children, their mothers and different patients about their health and the medical facilities being provided to them.
He had directed the hospital staff to provide all the best available health facilities to the patients. He vowed that it would be his top priority to make the hospital in Punjab as ‘healing centers’ in the real sense for the benefit of the common masses. Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz visited some other localities of Sialkot, including the under-construction flyover at Shahbpura Chowk. The Chief Minister expressed grave concern over the unnecessary delay of over three years in the completion of the project and termed it as a victim of the inability and inefficiency of the previous government. He urged upon the concerned departments and officials for the immediate completion of the flyover without any compromising on the quality of work or the material.
Earlier, the Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz visited the bereaved family of a Punjab Polic’s martyred constable Muhammad Javed in village Gujar Kalla in tehsil Daksa.
Muhammad Javed died a few days back when a police van turned turtle near Attock. Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz saluted the deceased cop for offering his life in the line of duty.
He also said that the deceased man could not be brought back but the provincial government would always support the widow and children of the deceased cop.
