Proud that Sindh PA passed Pakistan resolution: Speaker Durrani


Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Khan Durrani has said that Pakistan is our Identity, we are what we are due to our beloved Motherland.

He was talking tomedia after National flag hoisting ceremony at Sindh Assembly Building here on Saturday.

Secretary Sindh Assembly G M Umer Farooq, Officers and Staff of the Assembly were also present on the occasion.

“We are proud that this Assembly passed the resolution in favour of a separate homeland for the Muslims of Sub-continent and this honour is so unique that no other Assembly can match us, hesaid

Agha Siraj said that Sindh Assembly not only took the lead in passing resolution for Pakistan but since then it has also been the best performing Provincial Assembly with regards to legislation, He added that It is the first Assembly which allowed live telecast of its proceedings and introduced online Sessions due to Covid-19.

Further highlighting the importance of Sindh Assembly, Agha SirajDurrani said that the Father of the Nation took oath here and first Prime Minister Liaquat Ali Khan hoisted Flag of Pakistan for the First time, in this Assembly.

While congratulating entire nation on the occasion of Jashan-i- Azadi , Speaker Sindh Assembly emphasized the need of contribution of every Pakistani towards progress and prosperity of the Country, according to everyone’s ability, “We owe a lot to our motherland as it is given us opportunities to express our abilities in a conducive environment besides giving us identity as Pakistanis.

” he remarked.He said,“Today, we should pledge that we will leave all kind of hatred behind us and work to strengthen our motherland with our best efforts.”

Replying to a question about country’s foreign policy Durrani said that the Federal Government should evaluate ground realities with regards to Afghanistan before taking any decision. The decision which is better for Afghan brethren should supported, he opined.
