Kashmiri Muslim women staged a candle light protest against the killings of the members of civilians in the Valley.
A group of women appeared near Ganta Ghar (Clock Tower) in Srinagar and expressed concern over the spate of killings in the territory.
“We know that the government has failed to provide security to people. Among the 30 civilian killings that have taken place in Kashmir in 2021, 26 have been Muslims,” the women said.
Meanwhile, Kashmiri Pandits also staged a protest in Jammu against the killings of their community members in the Valley.
Raising slogans killings, the protesters expressed dismay over what they termed as government’s failure to provide security to the Kashmiri Pandits.—KMS
