A protest demonstration was held against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Indian government for making blasphemous remarks against Islam and Muslims.

The protest was organized by Pasban-e-Hurriyat. A large number of people gathered at Old Secretariat and marched towards Burhan Wani Chowk chanting slogans against BJP spokesperson Nopur Sharma and media head Naveen Kumar Jundal for making insulting remarks against the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

Speakers on the occasion said that the Bharatiya Janata Party government led by Narendra Modi in India is engaged in terrorist activities against Islam and Muslims under an organized conspiracy. The speakers termed the Arab countries’ “India boycott campaign” as the right step in the right direction.

Pasban-e-Hurriyat Chairman Uzair Ahmad Ghazali, Hafiz Bilal Ahmad Farooqi, Syed Hamza Shaheen, Usman Ali Hashim, Muhammad Shahid.
