Protection of lives, property govt’s priority: Feroze

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Caretaker Minister for Information, Auqaf, Hajj, Religious and Minority Affairs Barrister Feroze Jamal Shah Kakakhel has said that the safety of people’s lives and property is the first priority of the KP government.

The caretaker provincial government is trying to eradicate the scourge of terrorism while taking security measures by increasing the capacity of the police. He said that a detail report of the Bajaur incident will be revealed soon after completing the investigation.

The caretaker provincial minister expressed these views while talking to media representatives after visiting the injured in the Bajaur blast at Lady Reading Hospital. On arrival at LRH, Hospital Director Dr. Muhammad Abrar Khan gave a detail briefing to the provincial minister regarding the treatment of the injured. Barrister Feroze Jamal Shah Kakakhel met the injured individually and inquired about their health.

Later speaking to the media representatives, Barrister Feroze Jamal Shah Kakakhel said that a total of 44 people martyred in the blast that took place in Bajaur yesterday. In total, around 200 civilians were injured, in which around 100 were admitted to different hospitals. He said that 17 seriously injured were brought to CMH by helicopters on the instructions of the caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Azam Khan. Last night, 3 of the injured under treatment at CMH lost their lives. Currently, 14 injured are under treatment at CMH, out of which 2 are in critical condition.
