Project to promote national culture launched

District administration Hafizabad has launched a project to promote local and national culture and heritage through wall paintings with the collaboration of social workers which would not only increase beautification of city but local artists and student could show their hidden talent.

Deputy Commissioner Toqeer Ilyas Cheema and ADCR Abudl Rauf reviewed wall paintings made by the artists and students, on Monday. DC lauded efforts of AC Hafizabad and social worker Abdul Jabbar Insari who initiated this work for beautifying and giving attractive look to the city.

DC said that it was needed to enlighten national and local culture and we also could pay tribute to services our national heroes through paintings, whereas in history of Punjab, a many heroes, culture, customs and arts were manifestation of our culture who never be forgotten.

He said that preservation of our culture was obligation of everyone and local artist and students highlighted different aspects of our culture attractively.

Students of all school should take part in this laudable work not only for making our surroundings beautiful but also demonstrate their talent, he added.
