Says Quaid single-handedly changed course of history through his sheer will power
President Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in their separate messages in connection with birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam, have urged the nation to follow the guiding principles of the father of the nation to ensure progress and prosperity of the country. They expressed gratitude to Quaid-e-Azam for carving out a separate homeland for Muslims of the sub-continent where they are free to realize their dreams.
The President in his message renewed Pakistan’s pledge to continue its moral, diplomatic and political support to Kashmiris of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir in realizing their dream of self-determination in line with the UN Security Council resolutions. The Prime Minister in his message said the best way to pay tribute to Quaid-e-Azam is to make Pakistan an Islamic welfare state. He stressed the need to put an end to internal differences and work tirelessly for progress of the country. Meanwhile in a tweet on Sunday Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that adherence to the Quaid’s ideology can make us defeat all the odds.
He expressed the resolve to keep working for the well-being of our people. The Prime Minister said we, as a nation, have failed to live up to the Quaid’s ideals. Nothing undermines a nation more than lack of unity. He said the Quaid-i-Azam single-handedly changed the course of history through his sheer will power, clarity of thought and unwavering struggle. He said the commitment to constitutionalism marked Quaid-i-Azam’s leadership.
His motto of unity, faith and discipline continues to serve as a clarion call for the nation. Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has renewed the pledge to fulfill Quad-i-Azam’s dreams with national unity. In a statement on Quaid’s birth anniversary, he said Quaid-e-Azam was a great leader who achieved Pakistan through his tireless struggle.
