Islamabad: President Dr Arif Alvi has summoned a joint session of the parliament at 4 pm today, using the authority granted to him by Article 54 (1) of the Constitution.
Members of both houses of parliament – the National Assembly and the Senate – will attend the joint session.
The Joint Session’s single-item agenda was issued in a notification by the National Assembly Secretariat. The current economic position in the country, as well as the global security and economic environment, will be discussed at the joint session.
