The Preparations to celebrate MEGA event the “Rahmatul Lil Alameen week” are in full swing at Lahore Arts Council’s both complex. In this regard, a special meeting was held in the committee room of Alhamra here on Saturday at Alhamra Art Centre, the Mall. The meeting was chaired by Secretary Information Raja Jahangir Anwar.
On the occasion, Secretary Information Raja Jahangir Anwar said that this mega event is being prepared by the special directive of CM Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar. Raja said that the efforts of Lahore Arts Council to prepare this super event along with Punjab Arts Council are praiseworthy and appreciated on high level.
Executive Director Saman Rai said that Lahore Arts Council would celebrate “Rahmatul Lil Alameen week” with full zeal and enthusiasm keeping in view the precautionary measures taken against Covid-19. Rai further said that the holy month of Rabi Ul Awal is celebrated globally every year, and this year first-time Alhamra celebrates this holy month with extraordinary hard work to pay a tiny tribute to our beloved Prophet PBUH.
In connection with the 12 Rabi Ul Awal LAC arranged calligraphy exhibition and workshop, besides that Alhamra released Qawwali “Marhaba Sarkar A Gaye” and an instrumental Qawwali” Tajdaar-e-Haram. Furthermore, Rai highlighted the preparation phase of the upcoming Seerat Week, saying wonderful “Rahmatul Lil Alameen week” is being prepared in a great new way in which different programs are being prepared e.g.
Mehfil-e-Mushaira Natiya, by Punjab Arts Council Mehfil-e-Naat, Exhibition and Mehfil-e-Samaa by LAC in which re-nownedQawwal of Pakistan Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will perform. CM Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar will be the chief guest of the opening ceremony on Wednesday, in which parliamentarians, Bureaucrats, Cabinet and Judiciary members are being invited, she added.
She farther said that Alhamra is the most important institution related to art and culture, through that, Alhamra is not only spreading the message of peace, love and humanity but this organization is proving to be a great identity for the country in terms of art and culture all over the world, she added.
The meeting was attended by, Executive Director PUCAR Rizwan Sharif, A.S Culture Farhat Jabeen, Deputy Secretary MNC Naveed Anjum, AAO LAC Mazhar Iqbal, Director Art and Culture Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi and other officers of Information and Culture department.
