PPP releases candidates’ lineup for Lahore

The Pakistan People’s Party has officially released its roster of candidates for National Assembly constituencies in Lahore, with Bilawal Bhutto Zardari set to contest from NA-127.

The lineup includes Syed Asif Hashmi for NA-117, Shahid Abbas for NA-118, Iftikhar Shahid for NA-119, Munir Ahmed for NA-120, Iftikhar Shahid for NA-121, and Chaudhary Atif for NA-122, all of whom have been granted party tickets. Additionally, Muhammad Ziaul Haq will contest from NA-123, Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor Khan from NA-125, and Amjad Ali from NA-126, as per PPP’s ticket allocation.

In a parallel development, PPP has issued tickets for both national and provincial assembly constituencies in Multan. Notably, three out of the six National Assembly tickets have been awarded to the Gilani family. Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani secured NA-148, Ali Musa Gilani for NA-151, and Abdul Qadir Gilani for NA-152. Furthermore, PPP candidates have been selected for seven out of the twelve provincial assembly constituencies.

The provincial assembly tickets for Multan include Ali Haider Geelani for PP-213, Barrister Syed Mudassar Shah for PP-214, Shakil Hussain Labar for PP-215, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shehzad for PP-216, Rana Sajid Wasif Mazhar Ran for PP-218, and Kamran Abdullah Mudal for PP-221.

This announcement follows the earlier issuance of PPP tickets for candidates in Sindh and Balochistan.
