PPP nominate candidates for senate polls

The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has formally submitted the party tickets of its 11 candidates for the upcoming Senate elections to the Election Commission. The candidates include Kazim Ali Shah, Ashraf Jatoi, MasroorAhsan, Nadeem Bhutto, SarfarazRajar, and Dost Ali Jessar, who are contesting for general seats of the Senate.

Barrister ZameerGhumro and Sarmad Ali have been nominated for two Senate seats reserved for technocrats from Sindh. QurratulAinMarri and RubeenaQaimkhani are PPP’s nominees for two women’s reserved seats, while Ponjo Mall Bheel is the party’s candidate for the minorities’ seat in the upper house.

Polling for the elections, which will fill 48 vacant seats in the upper house, is scheduled for April 02, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, to be conducted at the National Assembly and four provincial assemblies.
