Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi chief Engr Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that the ruling Pakistan People Party has been exposed whereas the Muttahida Qaumi Movement has rapidly been moving towards its logical end.
The JI leader expressed these views while addressing a training workshop in Karachi, here on Sunday.
On the occasion, he said that the opponents of the JI were afraid of its popularity so they resorted to political engineering. He further said that the multiple delays in the local government elections were a part of the political engineering.
Referring to a credible survey in Karachi, he told the participants that the JI’s popularity was exploring new heights of popularity and became the most favorite party to win the local government elections.
He further said the PPP and the MQM both are on the same page to get the local government polls delayed for another time. He added that the two parties are afraid of their political future so they are hatching conspiracies to stay politically relevant on the price of Karachi and Karachiites. He added that on the ground, Karachiites have rejected both the PPP and the MQM.
The JI leader said that the political situation is Karachi was different as compared to other parts of the country. The JI has become the top contestant in the local government elections. He further said that the JI has decided to contest the elections on its own symbol and without any political collaboration on party level with anyone.
