The supply of electricity to the Guddu PowerPlant in district Kashmore, Sindh, which had stopped after a 500-KV hightransmission line of the plant had caught fire due to a technical fault,has finally been restored.
Resultantly, the supply of electricity to cities like Guddu, Kashmore,Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Suhbatpur and DeraMuradJamali, which had plungedinto darkness following the power breakdown, has been restored.
Sources, however, have told 24News that the repair work at the plant isyet to get underway.
They have informed that a team of senior officials from Sukkur havereached the plant.
According to the NTDC officials, the technical fault occurred due tofog. The fire has been brought under control, they have informed.
