In response to the news related to power supply status of North Karachi, North Nazimabad, New Karachi, Buffer Zone, Malir, Korangi, Landhi, Old City and Garden, K-Electric reiterates that the power supply to all parts of the city remained normal and that there have been no reports of extended power outages from any part of the city.
In line with K-Electric’s commitment to ensure smooth and reliable power supply for its customers, annual preventive maintenance shutdown was carried out in few parts of North Nazimabad, including Block B. Customers already registered with KE’s 8119 platform were pre-informed via the SMS service.
In case of any complaints or queries, customers are requested to reach out to KE via its call center at 118 or SMS at 8119. Customers may also route their queries via KE’s social media forums or through the KE LIVE app.
K-Electric has also planned to make investments of USD 3 billion over the next four years across the power chain to further enhance operations. Significant reduction in T&D losses and sustained improvement in recovery levels are result of investments of more than USD 2.4 billion, made from FY 2009 to FY 2019, in all business verticals.
