Port city experienced a sudden power breakdown at the Hub Pumping Station, resulting in the disruption of a 66-inch MS rising main due to electrical issues. Authorities from the Water Corporation swiftly commenced inspection and repair of the affected line.

According to a spokesperson, temporary supply of a total of 650 MGD water is being facilitated from the pumping station, with an expected shortage of 80 MGD due to the disruption from the Hub Pumping Station. Normal water supply is being maintained from Dhabeji Pumping Station. During this time, the Corporation’s Krash Plant One and Krash Plant Two hydrants will remain temporarily closed, with online tanker services also suspended on both hydrants. The Chief Engineer of the Water Corporation indicated that repair work on the affected line will be completed within the next 24 hours, impacting areas in District West and District Keamari. Residents are urged to conserve water and use it as needed to mitigate any inconvenience.
