The Pakistan People’s Party, Pakistan Muslim League-N, and other major political parties, have welcomed the Election Commission of Pakistan announcement for holding elections on February 11, 2024. The ECP’s lawyer informed the Supreme Court’s three-member bench, led by Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, that polls will take place in onFebruary 11.
Following the ECP’s announcement, PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira said that his party has been calling for holding timely elections.
“Level playing field is necessary for transparent elections,” he said.
