Following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police has initiated a comprehensive training program for the issuance and renewal of firearms licenses, a public relations officer said.
He said that, the program entails the issuance of firearms handling training documents to 77 individuals after completing the course. Trained personnel of Islamabad Capital Police are giving arms training to the applicant, under the supervision of CPO Law and Order and Training at Police Lines Headquarters. Trained individuals are also provided with membership to the Police Shooting Club for continuous practice and skill development.
