Police to install S4 smart surveillance system at entry, exit points

A comprehensive review meeting chaired by IG Sindh GhulamNabiMemon discussed the installation of the Sindh Smart Surveillance System (S4) at the entry and exit points of cities.

The meeting, included detailed briefings on the installation, utility, and activation of the S4 system by DIG IT and NRTC representatives. DIG RRF provided insights into police deployment, while SSP AVLC explained the procedures for recovering stolen and snatched vehicles.

IG Sindh GhulamNabiMemon emphasized that the S4 project will play a crucial role in maintaining law and order and preventing crimes. He stated, “The digital intervention in Sindh Police will pose significant challenges for criminals.” Key directives from IG Sindh included: Training S4 personnel on highway protocols.Developing SOPs for the duties of deployed officers. Mandatory provision of bulletproof vests for officers.Offering cash rewards and certificates for exemplary service.Supplying officers with search app devices, vehicles, and essential equipment. DIG IT confirmed that the training for the S4 project staff has been completed, and modern equipment and cameras have been installed. DIG RRF announced that RRF personnel have been deployed for the S4 project, with an additional 300 officers to be deployed soon.
