Abbottabad police in a crackdown against the arms dealers selling illegal arms and ammunition has arrested three arms dealers, and had seized huge quantity of the unregistered arms.
Operation was conducted by the DSP cantt. Arms dealer Sami Afridi, son of Jameel Khan Muhammad Waqar son of Iqbal was arrested in City Plaza with 05 guns, 49 pistols and 3390 rounds of ammunition. 11 guns, 32 pistols and 1444 rounds of ammunition were recovered and cases were registered against the accused under the Arms Act.
Campaign is being started by the DPO Abbottabad Sajjad Khan and it was told that this will continue and will be expanded to entire district. DPO Abbottabad Sajjad Khan while addressing khuli Kutchery at Donga Gali police station on Tuesday said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police believes in community policing and thus holding an open forum to gives an opportunity to police officers to listen to the problems of the people and solve their problems at their doorstep.
He said that the doors of police offices are open to the public at all times and asked the general public to don’t feel any hesitation to visit and contact the police officers at any time. DPO ensured the general public that solution of your problems will be ensured as whoever comes to the offices should be respected and their voices should be heard. Most of the oppressed people come to the police station checkpoints.
