Police decide to take stern action against PTI workers

Islamabad police on Wednesday decided to take a stern action against the workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for attacks on police and vandalism in the judicial complex.

The police have also initiated action against the government employees and expats involved in the violent incidents.

Letters are being written to foreign embassies for the arrest of the expats involved in violence. Information about the government employees involved in the violent incidents is being sent to their departments, and a strict departmental action will be taken against them.

The process of identifying all the accused involved in violence is underway with the help of CCTV cameras. Those belonging to other districts will be handed over to the police concerned. The police record of all the accused is also being obtained. The government employees involved in provocation on social media are also being identified. Action will be taken against those who spread provocation on social media. Information about the employees of private institutions and companies involved in the violent incidents will be sent to their institutions.—INP
