The Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) of Lahore, Bilal SiddiqueKamiana, has reported significant progress in the city’s police department Complaint Cell, with over 68% of received complaints addressed thus far in 2024.
He said that the Complaint Cell has recorded 1840 applications, of which 1252 have been successfully resolved. Legal proceedings are currently underway for the remaining 588 cases, as highlighted by CCPO Kamiana. Various avenues for citizens to lodge complaints have been established and Sixteen applications received through the Chief Minister’s House web portal have been processed, demonstrating an efficient online grievance redressal system. Out of the 846 individuals who visited the CCPO office in person, 616 applications have been promptly addressed. Additionally, 620 out of 230 applications received via post have been successfully resolved.
CCPO Kamiana emphasized the importance of the helpline in providing immediate assistance to the public, ensuring swift resolution of grievances.
These statistics underscore the Lahore Police’s dedication to enhancing public grievance redressal mechanisms and upholding transparency in their operations, reflecting a proactive approach towards addressing community concerns.
