Police bust robbers gang

The Defense B Police busted a robbers gang, used to wear police uniforms in crimes, during an operation here.

The police recovered gold jewellery worth Rs 1.5 million, cash, laptop, motorcycle, two cell phones, police Uniforms and illegal weapons.

According to DIG (Investigations) Sharq Jamal Khan, directives have been issued to all divisional SPs to take action against criminal elements.

Following the orders, Cantt SP (Investigations) Capt (r) Muhammad Ajmal Police formed special teams under the supervision of SDPO Defense Muhammad Salman.

In-charge Investigation Defense B, Hafiz Mohammad Tariq along with the police team arrested two accused of the robber gang who were identified as Talha Naeem alias Rana and his accomplice Asghar Shamil, wearing police uniforms. The police recovered Rs 1.5 million from their possession.

Gold jewellery, cash, laptops, motorcycles, two cellphones, police uniforms and illegal weapons were recovered.

Several cases of robbery have been traced against the robbers in different police stations in Lahore. DIG Investigation Sharq Jamal Khan has commended the police team for arresting the accused of the dangerous robbery gang.
