Police block 570 NICs, 233 passports and Bank Accounts of 177 POs

Police in Mardan have blocked the National Identity Cards (NICs) of around 570 people allegedly involved in several criminal cases, it was learnt on Friday.

Similarly, it also blocked the passports of 233 people and sealed the bank accounts of 177 proclaimed offenders (POs) for being involved in sex crimes and murders.

DPO Mardan Dr Zahidullah told the media that personal files had been prepared of 15 hired assassins, 103 sex offenders, 33 money lenders and 75 people ‘involved’ in land grabbing.—INP
