A private TV anchor’s home in Shah Faisal Colony was robbed, but swift action by local police resulted in the arrest of the main suspect within hours. SSP Korangi, TauheedRehman, confirmed that the suspect, identified as Nabeel, was caught after a rapid investigation. Authorities recovered stolen goods and cash from his possession, and a case has been filed against him.
The police have been praised for their quick response and effective handling of the situation. In a separate incident last week, a factory watchman in Ahsanabad, Karachi, bravely thwarted a robbery attempt. Four armed robbers tried to enter the factory, but the guard resisted. The robbers fired at the watchman before fleeing. Police pursued the suspects, capturing one who was injured during the chase, while the other three escaped. DSP Sohrab Goth confirmed that the arrested suspect admitted the gang targeted the factory, knowing that salaries were being distributed that day.
