LAHORE – The police on Thursday registered a case against Aneela Riaz, also known as Neeli Pari, following a complaint by comedian Tahir Anjum, who accused her of physical assault.
The police acted quickly, and arrested Pari, who is reported to be a PTI worker.
The FIR listed Aneela Riaz along with several unidentified accomplices as suspects. The police are actively investigating to identify and apprehend the additional individuals involved in the incident.
The assault occurred when Pari approached Anjum’s vehicle, forcefully opened the door, and began verbally and physically attacking him. She tore his clothing and used abusive language. Anjum, deeply distressed by the assault, was brought to tears.
Despite the aggression, Anjum remained calm and did not retaliate. Bystanders tried to intervene, but Pari ignored their efforts and continued her attack. Anjum eventually managed to escape with minor injuries.
After the incident, Anjum stated that he would persist in creating videos criticizing the PTI and its leader, Imran Khan, whom he labeled a terrorist. He vowed to continue his efforts to expose the PTI as a terrorist organization.
