Pml N Outshines Rivals With 12 Wins In National And Provincial By Elections

LAHORE – The Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) emerged victorious, securing 6 national and 6 provincial assembly seats following the by-election for 13 constituencies.

PML-N candidates succeeded in almost all of the seats vacated by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), who had left them after the disqualification of their members.

In the National Assembly races, PML-N won all 6 contested seats, while in the provincial assembly, the party secured 6 out of 7 seats, with only one provincial seat going to the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

NA 18 Haripur – A Major Upset

The biggest upset of the elections came in Haripur’s NA-18, where PML-N’s Babar Nawaz Khan won decisively with 163,996 votes, defeating the independent candidate supported by PTI, Shehernaz Omar Ayub, who received 120,220 votes. This seat became vacant after the disqualification of former opposition leader, Omar Ayub, in the May 9th unrest case.

NA 129 Lahore

In Lahore’s NA-129, PML-N’s Hafiz Mian Muhammad Noman won with 63,441 votes, while PTI-backed independent candidate Arslan Ahmed secured 29,099 votes.

NA 185 Dera Ghazi Khan

PML-N’s Mahmood Qadi Khan triumphed in NA-185 Dera Ghazi Khan, receiving 82,416 votes, while PPP’s Dost Muhammad Khosa came in second with 49,262 votes.

NA 143 Sahiwal

In NA-143 Sahiwal, PML-N’s Muhammad Tufail Jatt secured 136,223 votes, defeating independent candidate Zarar Akbar Chaudhry who received 13,220 votes.

NA 104 Faisalabad

PML-N’s Daniyal Ahmed won NA-104 Faisalabad with 52,791 votes, while independent candidate Rana Adnan Javed came in second with 19,262 votes.

NA 96 Faisalabad

In NA-96 Faisalabad, PML-N’s Bilal Badr Chaudhry, the brother of Minister of State Talal Chaudhry, won with 93,009 votes.

Provincial Assembly Results

PP 87 Mianwali

In PP-87 Mianwali, PML-N’s Ali Haider Noor Khan Nyazi won with 67,986 votes, defeating independent candidate Muhammad Ayaz Khan Nyazi who secured 3,310 votes.

PP 98 Faisalabad

PML-N’s Azad Ali Tabassum secured 44,388 votes in PP-98 Faisalabad, winning against independent candidate Muhammad Ajmal, who received 35,245 votes.

PP 115 Faisalabad

In PP-115 Faisalabad, PML-N’s Muhammad Tahir Pervez won with 49,049 votes, while independent candidate Muhammad Asghar came second with 18,098 votes.

PP 116 Faisalabad

PML-N’s Ahmad Shaheryar, who is the son-in-law of Prime Minister’s Advisor Rana Sanaullah, won PP-116 Faisalabad with 48,824 votes, defeating independent candidate Malik Asghar Ali Kaisar who received 11,429 votes.

PP 203 Sahiwal

PML-N’s Muhammad Hanif won PP-203 Sahiwal with 46,900 votes, while independent candidate Falak Sher came second with 10,895 votes.

PP 73 Sargodha

In PP-73 Sargodha, PML-N’s Sultan Ali Ranjha won with 71,770 votes, defeating independent candidate Mehr Mohsin Raza, who received 12,970 votes.

PP 269 Muzaffargarh

However, in PP-269 Muzaffargarh, PML-N suffered a loss. PPP’s Mian Alamdar Abbas Qureshi won with 55,611 votes.

PML-N’s strong performance in these by-elections reflects its ongoing influence in key constituencies, securing a total of 12 out of 13 seats.
