Muhammad Zubair, leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N), conceded the impressive performance of PTI in a tweet on the social networking website X. He expressed his lack of surprise as PTI-backed independent candidates clinched victories, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab. Zubair went on to assert that the prolonged delay in announcing the election results has rendered the entire process highly suspicious, contending that PML-N now lacks the moral authority to govern.

PTI, not mincing words, issued a statement on its official social media account, advising PML-N’s leader Nawaz Sharif to gracefully accept defeat. The statement emphasized that the Pakistani people would not accept any resistance from the defeated party. Meanwhile, PTI leader Latif Khosa raised questions about the legitimacy of Nawaz Sharif’s victory over independent candidate Dr. Yasmin in constituency NA-130, labeling it as controversial.—INP
