Sardar Abdul Rahim, General Secretary Pakistan Muslim League-Functional Sindh, in a press statement issued on the harassment of political activists by the Sindh government in Karachi, said that innocent political activists were targeted by the police at the behest of the Sindh government. He said the Sindh government was using the police illegally to achieve its political goals, harassing political activists and their families through self-made police lists. Condemning the illegal actions of the Sindh government, Sardar Abdul Rahim clarified that the Sindh government has failed and the government writ is nowhere to be seen, as a result it is trying unsuccessfully to regain its fallen political reputation by taking vicious step. The PML-F leader added that the constitution of the country provides political freedom to every citizen but Sindh government finds political sanctity illegal and is using the police to involve the citizens in various cases. The PPP leaders are making money, but the people cannot be intimidated by bullying and intimidation. Sardar Rahim has demanded of the IGP Sindh Police to be a public custodian instead of being a tool of anyone. He said the PML-F would play its role in protecting and safeguarding the rights of people.
