To promote agriculture entrepreneurship and capacity building, Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) and National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), here on Tuesday.
The purpose and objectives of this MoU is to promote cooperation in the area of academic and capacity building of human resource activities for entrepreneurial projects, i.e.
designing curricula for trainings, economic feasibility of the projects and cash flow for innovative technologies.
Prof. Dr. Qamar uz Zaman Vice Chancellor PMAS-AAUR and Rehmat Ali Hasnie, SEVP & Group Chief, Inclusive Development Group, NBP signed MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.
Under the MoU PMAS-AAUR & NBP will not only carry out activities for farming community to create awarness for modern agricultural technologies but will also encourage cooperation in the mutual areas of enterprise development for the farmers/students in hydroponics agriculture, tunnel farming, precision agriculture and high efficiency irrigation systems, agricultural machinery workshops and services, orchards establishment, value addition, storage & marketing systems, modern poultry and animals production, honey & by-products of bee keeping and fisheries etc.
