ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday removed Aslam Ghauri as federal health secretary after 14 infants were killed in a fire incident at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).
The premier issued the order while chairing a meeting on the PIMS blaze incident. He expressed resentment at the officials concerned for their negligence.
He has also formed in high-level inquiry committee, which will be headed by former interior secretary Shahid Khan. Secretary Establishment Dr Nabil Awar and others will be part of the committee.
