Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the politically immature Bilawal has boasted of bringing a no-confidence move against the Chief Minister Usman Buzdar in Punjab but has forgotten that PPP couldn’t get a seat in any province except the Sindh and in fact, PPP has been devolved to a regional party.
In a statement issued here on Friday, Dr Firdous said that PPP used glitter of money to exploit the political wrangling though money was not the identity of this party before.
She said the true face of PPP which claims to be a democratic entity has been exposed in the Senate election, adding that violation of democratic norms is a trait of PPP and the recent Senate election is an example of its misdeeds.
The Special Assistant said that Bilawal is welcomed to Punjab to face a humiliating defeat in the province because PTI will counter PPP in such a way that its remaining seats will also vanish away. PPP can do monetary politics only and not vote politics, she said.
It is astounding to indulge in making tall claims while using the platform of PML-N.
She said that Usman Buzdar was elected by a majority of the house and the government would thwart the opposition’s conspiracies with its allies.
The whole PDM is afraid of Imran Khan and the use of ill-gotten money shows that PDM is a gang of political gamblers who have used money jointly to dent Imran Khan, she said.
Dr Firdous asked the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to take notice of the statement of Maryam Safdar in which she has confessed to selling PML-N tickets to gain the Islamabad seat.
She stressed that Maryam Safdar deserves punishment according to the electoral laws and reminded her that huge money was also involved in the Senate elections.
She stressed that the Senate seat would have not been lost if the government had used money and the defeat of the government candidate despite the majority reveals that money was utilized by the opposition parties.
The Special Assistant said the politics of Imran Khan has made the divide between the honest and corrupt visible to the people and Imran Khan has decided to seek a vote of confidence because he has always played on the front foot.
She said that Prime Minister will get a vote of confidence with a thumping majority.
PTI’s continuous challenge to the political thieves proves that it is fully committed to eradicating corruption from the country, she said.
The SACM said that Prime Minister’s announcement for getting vote of confidence is a political sixer which has bewildered the opposition and has made them perplexed.
A new era of democracy will emerge in Pakistan tomorrow and PTI will continue its journey of political stability and transparent Pakistan under the dynamic leadership of PM Imran Khan, concluded the SACM.
