ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan has rejected a summary sent by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) seeking an increase in petroleum prices.
Special Assistant to PM on Political Communication Shahbaz Gill announced the development on Twitter. He said that OGRA had sought an increase of Rs11 and Rs14 in petrol and diesel prices, respectively.
The prime minister, according to Gill, said that inflation across the globe caused a surge in petroleum prices but the PTI government was making efforts to save Pakistan’s public from inflation.
