Addressing allies at lunch, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that promises would be fulfilled and they are united to make Pakistan better.
Imran Khan said that the opposition is adamant on harming the country and blackmailing to get rid of the cases. They do not know that I will not be blackmailed.
He said that there is a sense of inflation and problems in the constituencies. The mafia is a major obstacle in the way of change. For two years the focus was on strengthening the foundation of the economy, now focusing on public welfare projects.
According to sources, Shah Zain Bugti raised the issue of recovery of missing persons and said that this is the most important issue of Balochistan.
On the occasion, Balochistan Chief Minister Sardar Jam Kamal said that hundreds of missing persons have been rescued in the last two years. The majority of the missing persons on Akhtar Mengal list have reached home.
The Chief Minister Balochistan said that most development works were done in the province during the present tenure. Balochistan’s development projects are not being publicized. We will contest the next election on the basis of performance.
It is pertinent to mention that Prime Minister Imran Khan invited the allies of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government for lunch on Thursday.
The invitations for the lunch had been sent to the leaders of political allies in the government. PM Imran took the allies into confidence on the prevailing political situation in the country
According to sources, PM Imran held consultations with political allies on the current political situation, opposition’s narrative and a strategy to deal with the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).
Meanwhile, In a surprise move, PTI ally, the PML-Q skipped the luncheon held on Thursday hosted by Prime Minister Imran Khan at the PM Office — despite initially accepting the invitation.
Federal minister Tariq Bashir Cheema, who is a member of the PMLQ, said that it was his party’s decision to not go to the luncheon, saying that the party’s reservations have not been addressed by the PTI. “When PML-Q is not important for PM Imran Khan, what is the point for the party to attend the luncheon?” Cheema is reported to have said.
“Whenever the government needed [us], we voted for them more than the government’s [own] people,” said the PML-Q leader.
He also claimed that the ministers who had come to give them the invitation had also acknowledged that the PML-Q was not being treated fairly.
Meanwhile, senior party leader Moonis Elahi said that PML-Q’s alliance with PTI is to the extent of votes, having meals is not included in our agreement.
Prime Minister Imran Khan was expected to discuss the current political situation with his allies at the luncheon he hosted today. According to reports, the meeting was to begin at 1pm. Top government officials and lawmakers from the coalition partners were to attend.
Sources suggested that PM Imran will discuss some “crucial national issues” with his allies. He will also speak about the Opposition’s narrative against the government as well as the public gatherings of the Pakistan Democratic Movement.
