PIFD Alumni association kicks off inaugural meeting

Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design (PIFD) Alumni Association held its first annual general meetingat the university’s premises.
President of the Executive Committee, Ms. Sahar Atif (Fashion Designer/Educationist)chaired the meeting while thePIFD Vice Chancellor Prof. Ms. Hina Tayaba Khalil, other office bearers, partners and a large number of nominated facilitators from the PIFD Alumni Association were present on the occasion.
The meeting started with opening remarks by the President of the Executive Committee Ms. Sahar Atif, who expressed a warm welcome to all of the attendees. In the meeting, it was stated that the PIFD Alumni Association is an independent body which will work for the unification of PIFD Alumni across the national and international borders, the university, students and its faculty. It shall work to promote understanding and contact among the Alumni, provide opportunity for participation of the alumni in national planning for research and development in the field of Art and Design Education.
Addressing the meeting, Vice Chancellor PIFD urged the PIFD Alumni to play their role for the welfare of the university.
