Minister of Planning Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar, Thursday, said that the government was taking all out efforts to protect people from the devastating effects of Covid-19.

He also urged the opposition parties to remain updated about the government’s measures in this regard and avoid making criticism for the sake of criticism.

While talking to media after launching of ‘The PIDE Reform Agenda Accelerated and Sustained Growth’ here Asad Umar said that the government had spent huge sum on the import of Covid vaccine.

This was why the government was thinking to reduce the age limit for the vaccination’ he said while giving his reaction to a statement of former premier Shahid Khaqan Abbasi that the government should disband the NCOC because government was injecting vaccine to people which it had obtained as charity from other countries.

Earlier while speaking at the launching ceremony, Asad Umar lauded the efforts of PIDE for coming up with a growth reform Agenda.
