Pia And Bangladeshs Biman Air Join Forces To Streamline Trade Across South Asia

ISLAMABAD – Major development for reshaping regional trade as Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Bangladesh’s Biman Airlines joined forces in landmark deal.

In groundbreaking move set to transform regional trade, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Bangladesh’s Biman Airlines signed landmark agreement to streamline air cargo movement between the two nations. The deal will establish Jeddah, Medina, and Riyadh as major transit hubs, creating a new strategic corridor for commerce.

According to a PIA spokesperson, the deal will significantly reduce logistical hurdles in transporting high-value goods, including textiles, pharmaceuticals, and agricultural products, while ensuring cost-effective and high-quality cargo solutions through the combined networks of both national carriers.

“This partnership is a game-changer for regional trade,” the spokesperson said, highlighting its potential to boost economic ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Pakistan’s national air carrier is set to start flights to UK starting October 25, 2025, with nonstop service from Manchester to Islamabad. This comes after airline received its Foreign Aircraft Operating Permit and Third Country Operator approval from the UK Civil Aviation Authority, clearing the way for the long-awaited return of PIA to British skies.
